I will admit that based on the cover and title alone I thought this was going to be a high school romance. I should have read the summery because I couldn't have been more wrong. The concept of grown men using romance books to save their relationships is hilarious.

I'm not sure if I loved the book as much as I loved the concept but it was a cute easy read. It wasn't anything special but I would recommend it anyways if you are looking for something light and fun. Gavin and Thea were interesting enough and I enjoyed the supporting cast. The Courting the Countess bits were a fun addition.

3.75 ⭐️ i want to start this review by saying how refreshing it was to read a story about two people whose relationship isn’t perfect, but they love each other through it all and have the awareness to heal themselves so they can love each other. i think the idea of men reading romance books to better understand their partners is one of the best concepts i’ve ever read. i really enjoyed the raw emotions that they were both struggling to understand and express to one another. i didn’t absolutely love the pacing of it, i felt like it wrapped up really suddenly and maybe we could have seen that stretched out a bit more. (also liv drove me absolutely crazy!) anyway, overall a good read and excited to continue the series :)
