I listened to this on audio book, which Michelle read herself. Becoming is an honest look into her life from childhood up through the years immediately following Trump's inauguration. Michelle shares her moments of triumph and those times when things didn't go quite as well. Highly Recommend!

Like many books that have hyped within an inch of their lives, I was a little sceptical about how good this book really would be. My verdict: it's good. The writing is good (she actually uses similes/metaphors really well?!) and the pace and structure is thoughtful. Somewhat oddly, I actually found her college days/early career most interesting. I particularly liked her honesty about her self-doubt and the challenge of being partnered with such a driven and openly ambitious partner who knows exactly what they want when you feel a little less certain. The White House years were not as juicy as I'd hoped. The audiobook is great for this one.

What a journey! Listened to this in its entirety on audiobook narrated by Michelle Obama herself and it was perfect and so full of expression! Was super interesting and fun to learn about living as first lady from a first person point of view. You know it was a great audiobook when you're sad the minute it ended and already miss it!
