This is another fun addition to the historical comic series. Nathan Hale travels to the American Civil War to tell a story about the blockade of the southern states and how the ironclad came to prominence. I enjoyed the book a lot and even learned a few things along the way.

I’m not going to lie I do not really care about this historical event so I didn’t hold my attention as much. It still is funny and I did learn some stuff so that’s good.

Best one yet. The Donner Party dragged a little, maybe because it's hard to see people make so many bad decisions in a row, much like current politics. The Alamo was fun but not quite as good as this one. Ironclad had me reading extra chapters to my son each night, staying up a little later than planned.

This series is a fabulous way to get people engaged in history.
I love the format of this graphic novel series. The way Nathan Hale narrates the historic event and how the British soldier and the hangman cut-in throughout the tale is hilarious and makes the story so fun. I truly love how this series makes history, which many people (especially students) think is boring so exciting. What a great way to make history fun!

My 7 yo loves these books. Depicts the story of the invention of ironclad ships and the role they played in the civil war off the coast of Virginia. Covers war strategy, key players in the navy of the north and the south, with a focus on Cushing and Ericsson. My son was totally absorbed in it and I learned a lot too.
