Very solid start to a series! This is a prequel to Wheel of Time written by Jordan when the series was almost complete. I decided to start the series chronologically and this bodes very well for what's coming. You can totally tell that this is the series Brandon Sanderson cut his teeth on. The multiple points of view, the pacing, the magic, and the female leads all seem to resonate with how Sanderson now writes. I'm looking forward to delving into the rest of Wheel of Time!
