This is a book that wrenches at the heart. I loved Fannie, I loved in the series how different all the girls were from each other. I thought that even if it was a bit slow at the beginning in the end it showed you the truths of the world today and how lost we are compared to what once was. I really do think that everyone should read this series because it made me cry and jump up and down and just hurt for all the people of Sevenwaters and everything that they have been through. You can really see what the author believes come through in her writing. This is my favorite series of all time and this was a good ending to a series that ripped my heart out and made me smile with all the happiness I could muster. Fannie is an amazing girl, through everything she did what was right even though her world was gone and at one point she lost everything.

I just love his series so much. I originally gave this book 5 stars...and it really is incredible but I have now changed it to 4 stars for one specific reason
SpoilerAll of the scenes with Eamonn and Fainne seriously grossed me out. I was kind of sickened by it actually. What we basically consider an old man in these books pursuing a 15 year old...all the groping and kissing..just ugh. I found it much harder to read then I did the rape scene in the first book.
...which maybe makes me heartless but were all different right?! But I do just love the story...definitely more than [b:Son of the Shadows|13927|Son of the Shadows (Sevenwaters, #2)|Juliet Marillier|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388460890s/13927.jpg|2801045]not sure if I like it more than [b:Daughter of the Forest|13928|Daughter of the Forest (Sevenwaters, #1)|Juliet Marillier|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1343589988s/13928.jpg|1897725]. Im just so in love with Darragh its ridiculous. Haha. Anyways...excellent books. I also bought three that come after this one but have yet to read them. Will let everyone know :)

I hadn't realized fully how much my enjoyment of these books was based on the strength of the main characters. And then I met Fainne, and I couldn't wait to get rid of her.
