Stories set in the Fallen world (and a chapter from the 1st book). Glad to read these as I'm planning on reading the new novel and it gives me background (without having to go back and read the full series, which I feel a little daunted by).

Vignettes from the universe of “The House of Shattered Wings”, which I’ve yet to read. Angels have fallen from the heavens and magic is real. Warring Houses have shattered Paris. This is a collection a fragments of tales. I liked the setting and stories and will read the novel as a result.

A good introduction/prologue to [b:The House of Shattered Wings|23601046|The House of Shattered Wings|Aliette de Bodard|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1431963046s/23601046.jpg|43203048]. Along with, I assue, [b:Of Books, and Earth, and Courtship|26300164|Of Books, and Earth, and Courtship|Aliette de Bodard|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1441901840s/26300164.jpg|46299355] it adds some detail to some of the relationships in the novel, a little bit (though not much) background to the world. There are a few threds which it would have been interesting to see expanded upon, but perhaps in future short stories and novels.

Loved the middle shorts story the best. The world that shows up in these short stories sounds intriguing. It is very violent though.

A collection of 3 stories set in Bodard's Fallen universe. Really enjoyed the world here and am looking forward to reading the trilogy.
