"I don't remember the moment my life changed. There is only before and after."

I knew this book was going to be a hard read. The Humboldt Broncos crash affected everyone. My children played hockey and it was a hard swallow. When this book was released, I knew I had to purchase it.

Tis book was a quick read because you become completely immersed in it. You get to experience a glance into Kaleb's life before and after the crash. My heart broke reading Kalen's experience. Despite the circumstances, Kaleb has a positive attitude and wants to live honouring the sixteen who lost their lives.

Wow what an amazing story of survival. This book will make you laugh and it will make you cry and it will make you want to be a better person.  Kaleb writes about how he has persevered after surviving the Humboldt Bronco bus crash in 2018. This book details all of his struggles and how he used determination,  positivity and the support of many, many people to help him get him to where he is today.  A well written story that stay with you forever.

Kaleb Dahlgren's life could have taken a very different path after surviving the bus crash in April 2018. He could have become a very angry, resentful, and bitter man, however, he didn't. He handled this monumental life-changing event with such grace, humility, and maturity that one rarely sees at 20 years old. @kalebdahlgren - I applaud you for staying true to who you are and to your parents for raising an outstanding gentleman. You are someone who is going to continue to do great things!

You don't need to be a hockey person to read this book. We all can connect with wanting to contribute to our communities and mending ourselves after heartbreak, no matter what shape that heartbreak takes.

Fantastic memoir, Kaleb Dahlgren seems too young to be this wise, but has been through so much and has the most amazing attitude! My daughter who is also an athlete with Type 1 Diabetes and I both read this memoir, and found many parts of his story very relatable. The part about his recovery from the Humboldt Broncos bus crash was just so moving, I am in awe of his strength both physically and mentally. Very inspiring and worthwhile read, thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself with us!

Even if you are not a hockey fan you should read this book. I loved it right from the beginning. I especially loved his battle with type 1 diabetes and how he has worked to make it easier for other diabetics to play competitive sports. My heart breaks for him and all the other victims of the crash.

This book was a really hard book to read/listen too. It was such a traumatic event and it was very interesting to hear about it from someone who experienced it all. It was relatable for many because most people know the feeling of being part of a sports team. It was also interesting hearing about his life living with type 1 diabetes. I would recommend this book to everyone!
