Audio was reasonably engaging for a long drive but the M. Night Shayamalan reveal was ridiculas and Finn took forever to wrap things up.

Oh the adjectives! And similes! and descriptive verbs! - Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh MY.
This book is drowning in them. I can't stay focused on the story, which I like, because of the ridiculousness of it all. At a little over halfway through, I don't know if I can finish.

Well - I did finish it and again I like the story but my eyes are sore from rolling them so it stays a 2 star for me.

“Life is a thriller. The ending is fatal.”
This novel was incredibly unique, with twists and turns you would never see coming. Even when I had outrageous guesses for how the story might end, I was so far off. I maybe guessed 2 small aspects correctly, but still, nothing had me in store for what AJ Finn cooked up.
Very addictive thriller/suspense/mystery!

DID NOT FINISH: 28%

Just couldn’t get passed the writing style, I felt like I constantly had to reread paragraphs. And the story in between wasn’t gripping enough to encourage me to push through

Disappointing. I found it very descriptive to the ponit it was boring in places. The first 100 pages was setting the scene before Diana's body was found, which was too long. The book could have been a lot shorter and would have made more of an impact. There were many characters, some of which were peripheral and one dimensional. The twists were rather far fetched and Nicky Hunter being Cole who transitioned in their teens felt like it was included only to tick a box.
The blurb on the book sounded really good and could have been done well butbthe execution wasnt great.

DNF at 223 pages out of 432. Too many characters. Nothing happening. Took a long break, read another chapter, even as the "action" finally began I decided to DNF, WHICH I NEVER DO. Life is too short for plotless books that need editing.
