This book gave me all the feels!! I just love everything I’ve read from Elle Kennedy so far, & this book is no different. Fitz is an idiot, but when he decides to finally be smart, he dives in with both feet & he finally fights for what he wants!! I love it!! And Summer is stubborn & goes after what she wants, but she’s also smart & knows what she deserves, & if the two clash, she stays true to herself! And the two of them really are meant to be, they bring the best out of each other! I love characters like that. I wish I had someone like that to bring the best out of me.

I love this author and was expecting a 5 star book. I was highly disappointed when I instead got a 2 star book who’s *only* saving graces were the amazing side characters.

this book was pretty good, but not elle kennedys best. the writing felt a little bit disjointed. some aspects of the pacing and characterization just werent great. but im still a sucker for a romance, esp an elle kennedy romance

There’s a little to much chase in The Chase. For most of the book, Fitz earnestly acts like a guy who doesn’t want to be caught. But a little nudity totally solves that and all his other relationship issues, right?

There was such a great tone of feminism throughout the book, but then there’s some weird shit like admiring a Nazi collaborator, and casual cocaine use.
