1. WTF 2. I know I wrote some kind of review on this lol but I must have clicked around and changed the stars so the review reset? weirdness.

Anyways, I loved this book. It was cute, I laughed a lot. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“I’d have to be dead in my grave before I stopped fighting for you, Madeline. Even then, I’d move six feet of earth to find a way.”

I will never be able to say anything bad about this book! It was amazing from the very first page and only got more amazing as I read on. The banter and passion between Logan and Maddie was so beautiful. Not only were the main characters enjoyable but also the various side characters – especially Grant. I CAN NOT BELIEVE I FINISHED THIS WITHIN A DAY – but at the same time I can because of how wonderful it was written. I need to save as much money as possible so that I can travel to Scotland! It has become a definite dream of mine now.

“I love you, Logan. Somehow…It began before I knew you.

Logan MacKenzie is a true POET and no one can tell me otherwise!

“Logan, you are my dream. You always were.”

I’m shocked because I’ve read like six Tessa Dare books and they’ve all consistently been 4 stars. Why was this one so boring? It lacked her usual humor and even the writing was weirdly clunky. I always pick up Tessa Dare when I’m in the need for a cute, entertaining palate cleanser, but this was not it. Despite the premise of her books commonly being outlandish, this one just made no sense. All of that could have been forgiven, if the characters made up for it, but alas we had two pieces of white bread as the main couple

This wasn't my favorite romance. I didn't connect with the characters or their hobbies as much as the other ones. The guy started off really mean but he did get better at the end to where i believed it. The girl loved him way too quickly and i couldn't really see why. I hated the end. She gave up a really cool opportunity to stay with him. I get she wanted to do the encyclopedia instead but an adventure sounds better. I related to the girl a bit with the social anxiety but that wasn't enough. I really liked the idea of her making up a guy and sending him letters only to find out he was real. This book just wasn't my favorite. It was barely even smutty. They did some stuff but it took a really long time to get to that. I didn't feel much sexual chemistry. I will read more of her series though.

When I first read the description of this book, it sounded a bit over-the-top to me, and there were moments in this that had me chuckling at the premise. But for the most part, I just really enjoyed reading it and loved all of these characters so much. I'm so glad I read this series of books because I loved each and every one of them and highly recommend them all.

I absolutely adored how sweet this one was! I loved the premise-- it's riddled with perfect moments of comedy and drama. While the drama/angst was low, I think the romance still delivered very well. I enjoyed watching these leads fall in love.

Not Julia Quinn, but the best alternative I've found. You know it's an amazing author when she can make the heroine's weird habit (illustrating bugs) endearing. This is historical romance trope "perfect man shows up at my front door" without any effort from the heroine. Love it! I just wish there was more tension/fighting instead of avoidance.

Currently in finals season, and I am genuinely stopping myself from downloading more of her books until it's over.
