I'll be honest...this book felt a little underwhelming. Maybe it's because of the same tropes that have been reused and recycled in this series. Or maybe it's the double standards (and slight OW drama). Personally, I'm done with the virgin heroine trope lol. One where the h doesn't look at another man but where the H fucks his way through half of the female population. I really don't like it. Also, I felt like Deimos' character was more tell rather than show. Like, he claimed to be a psycho but it didn't really feel like it??? Or maybe I'm just so far gone in the dark romance genre that his character didn't feel that dark to me lmao. Other than that, the story was decent. The smut felt a bit flat and repetitive for me but it was still okay ig. Overall, this was an okay read that I'd recommend as a palate cleanser and if you're looking for a quick, steamy book.

*Thank you to Jagger Cole and Valentine PR for providing me with an ARC!

OMG this was soooo good, I swear I didn't think anyone would top Ares but dangit Deimos did.. Swear the chemistry between him and Dahlia is INSANE..... Love the banter between him and Hades like sighh and of course I love that Deimos is neurodivergent and knows he's a bit of a psychopath. Loved that the plot was action packed. Definitely a page turner and for sure 5 stars!!!

I enjoyed this dark mafia romance. First time I've read this author and wow, I loved reading about Deimos and Dahlia so much! I normally don't read dark romance so this is saying something if I loved this book!

The plot, the spice, and all the twists were so good! I was hooked! I finished this in a day and I will definitely read this author again.

This one and Cillian’s were my favourite hehe.
Love an unhinged MMC

Mr. Cole is a new to me author. I do own several books by him but haven’t yet got a chance to read them. The blurb immediately caught my attention because I love mafia stories and enemies to lovers.
So with the two combined and the words “I’m caught in the psychopath’s web” you better believe I’m gonna read that book! What better way to be introduced to an author than to read tropes I love?
I quite enjoyed the book.
Lots going on with suspense and drama. It’s fast paced and action packed.
I always love the bad boy the one that’s more on the grayer side of things.
They always win by heart because of how much they love and obsess with the women they fall for.
And Deimos was all that and more. Yes I fell hard and fast for this bad boy.
But Deimos has many layers to him. Has I got more into the story and more is revealed there is so much depth to him.
I admired Dahlia. I liked her fighting spirit, her sass and how she always tries to overcome her struggles and the haters. She’s strong willed and a determined young lady.
She is no wilting flower. And absolutely never gives up.
And I absolutely loved the tension that is between Deimos and Dahlia.
The atmosphere just sizzles when these two are in the same room together.
I could feel the energy bouncing around. And the intense vibes going on.
Their sexual interactions are freaking explosive. Off the charts sizzling hot.
And downright dirty and nasty and wicked but so utterly delicious.
I enjoyed the double mysteries going on. It kept things extremely interesting and exciting.
The secrets, the lies and the betrayals that come to light are shocking and ugly.
Some I had a feeling about but the others left me flabbergasted.
4.5 stars for this gripping book. And needless to say I’m going to be reading more by this author.

Primal instincts

Deimos and Dahlia have been inevitable since they first met at Knightsblood college six years ago.
Love that this book is quite dark, both having similar traumas in their past and both having the same love of primal play.
The plot is action packed, well thought out and fast paced tho I kinda guessed who the real villain was fairly early on.
Love catching up with all my favourite characters from previous books, Ares is still one of my all time favourites.
Jagger writes such great Mafia based stories, this is no exception, love the extra darkness included with this one.
