4.5 stars. John Marrs takes the world he built in The Marriage Act and expands it. An intriguing and thrilling insight into how the Metaverse could collide with the Real World and alter everyone’s perceptions of family, love, and relationships.

Loved this whole series

My first book by Marrs but it won't be the last if his others are anything like this. An interesting take on AI, reality TV and the general state of the world. How real is real? What would you do to give your child the best life? Even had a little nod to NZ! A cast of 11 main characters can be tricky to navigate but Marrs made each one interesting with their own challenges and personalities. Simple language and good pacing made this easy to read.

DID NOT FINISH

I can’t do the rapidly switching narrators. Short chapters only work
if you are with the same character it was too jarring and then halfway through it’s like GUESS WHAT they all have a seeeecret ugh
