It’s taken me a couple days to write this review as I’ve been so sad to have finished it and I’m really missing the characters and being in that world. I really hope there will be a sequel so I can be reunited with them all. We follow Bianca who agrees to marry the neighbouring kingdom’s heir Prince Aric, but not out of love but out of duty to her country and parents. I really connected to Bianca, she has a chronic illness and having multiple chronic illnesses myself, I could really relate to how she felt and the judgements she experienced. It broke me seeing how her parents spoke to her, which in turn affected how Bianca viewed herself and how she assumed everyone must view her the same way. Bianca is so much stronger than she has been made to believe. I’m so thankful Prince Aric helped her see the truth. There is humour and banter and i really got attached to the characters and their journey. Aric turning into a horse on their Wedding Night following an assassination attempt wasn’t how they expected the night to go but honestly I’m glad. It gave them time to get to know each other and build their trust with each other.
Loved it so much. I can’t wait for everyone to read it. I want to be back with these characters already

This was a wonderful representation of a chronic condition inside of a fantasy world. It was also sweet and funny. The development of the roqmnce between these two characters was just lovely. The development of the characters as well. I could relate to Bianca in terms of not feeling like enough even though you are extremely talented in other respects. I do love seeing a strong female character and being the one saving her male counterpart. I thought that Aric and Bianca were definitely well complimented to each other. Bianca is strong in the ways that Aric isn't and vice versa. I enjoyed my time with it and finished it rather quickly.

When I finished this book, my feelings were very mixed. On the one hand, it was cute, and I enjoyed it for what it was. On the other, Bianca was ridiculously stupid at times, including once in the very beginning that nearly caused me to DNF it immediately. In that instance, she was being told by her parents she was going to be married off to Aric for an alliance, and we were also told how the country keeps a tight lid on their magic and magical technology, and how her sister prefers women for lovers, which would limit her to women suitors if she had an arranged marriage. She then asks why her magically inclined sister couldn't get married to the foreign prince instead.

I almost rated this book 4 stars because it was fun and the horse jokes hit just right. However, the ending nearly ruined the whole thing for me.
The final reveal was that the assassin (and the whole reason Bianca and Aric went on the run) was Julieta, Bianca's maid. I felt sympathy for Julieta because she was coerced, but Bianca instantly forgave her for everything, assured her that Aric would forgive her too, and unilaterally decided Julieta would stay employed under her without consequence. All of that was ridiculously unbelievable and felt like a very convenient way to wrap up all loose ends. Julieta claimed she wouldn't have attempted the assassination if she knew Bianca was going to be framed for it, but she broke in during a time most people assumed Bianca and Aric would be alone together (consummating their wedding), so why would she think Bianca wouldn't be framed for it?

The more I thought about the details, the more the story fell apart for me. It was enjoyable in the moment, but not one that will stay with me.

This was cute! Entirely expected plot and whatnot, but adorable nontheless. I also really enjoyed the disability rep of the fmc. The ending felt a little rushed, and I wished the characters were a little more fleshed out, but overall, I enjoyed this book and found it to be a cute easy summer read.

LOL! Entertaining, albeit predictable. The plot was silly but lended for a cozy fantasy novel. Highly recommend for fans of barbie and the magic of the pegasus.

I was expecting it to be more light hearted from the blurb, but I was delightfully surprised to get some serious intrigue, well developed and compelling characters, and a lovely little romance. I borrowed it from the library as it came outbof processing and it was a wonderful surprise.
