I attempted to start the Sandman series a few months ago, and gave up about 15 pages in. But I was later told by an employee at a comic book store to start with Volume 3, and then move back to 1 and make my way through the rest. So that's what I'm doing. This was an interesting start... we'll see how the rest go.

What's really strange is, the short story A Midsummer Night's Dream is arguably the most famous and awarded of the series... and it was probably my least favorite of the four in this volume. I think I didn't get it - maybe I'll need to revisit it later.
