I love Secunit/murder bot so much with all my heart I waited so long for the audiobook and it was so worth it I've listened to all of the books on audio and the narrator is perfect for it. This was my favorite out of the series so far can't wait for my hold to come in for the next book

Initial thoughts: I loved the ending, but the middle seemed to drag for quite a long time. The audiobook was hard to follow at times because there wasn't ema bold enough transition between current and past.

I’ll write a coherent review when I’m able, but goddammit I love Murderbot

I laughed! I cried! I stared at the wall for 30 minutes after I finished it! While crying!

Minus some pacing issues towards the middle, this was a near-perfect novel.

I love Murderbot. Its snarky comments, its jaded outlook, its loyalty to its humans, its love of soap operas - I’m just smitten. I first read this several years ago but didn’t remember it very well. I’m about to start System Collapse which takes place immediately after Network Effect so I reread this to refresh my spotty memory.

As with all the Murderbot books, the story moves fast, the characters are as fleshed out as can be when some are fleshless, and the plot has Murderbot back with its friend ART, a research vessel, where Murderbot gets to rescue ART’s crew from … well, the plot is complicated.

But the writing is excellent, really drawing the reader in from the beginning. I hope, hope, hope there will be many more Murderbot stories in our future.
