ART and murderbot mean so much to me.

On a certain level, I doubt I would be able to finish reading this book without spoilers. There were just too many tense and emotional moments.

YESSSS MORE ART! I still really enjoyed this book, but it was a bit of a slog at some points. I think the novellas work a lot better for Murderbot stories.

Wells makes excellent use of the expanded format for this installment of Murderbot Diaries, allowing us more time with Murderbot to make connections and ruminate on how far we’ve come and what to do next. Action packed, hilarious, and incredibly touching, it’s everything we love about Murderbot cranked up to 11!

I’m not sure I understood everything, but oh boy: these characters!

The characters sing.

Murderbot is growing and maturing and navigating more than just its complex relationships with *humans* now.

We got to revisit old friends, meet new friends, enemies and acquaintances, and experience the full spectrum of emotions in an action packed mystery investigation.

Perhaps by consequence of being longer, I found Network Effect more challenging to read than the other Murderbot books, but I’d say it was still worth the effort.
