Another really good installment in the series. Judging against the first few in the series, I couldn't give it 5 stars, but starting #6 right away.

I thoroughly enjoyed this installment. Royce and Hadrian are the best platonic couple I've ever read about. The ending 20% of the story shocked me in a good way. I would admit the first half of the story dragged quite a bit but if you love the main characters like I do then I guarantee you'll enjoy it nonetheless. The unique way Arista wields her magic is so fascinating to listen to especially in the Graphic Audio version. I would definitely recommend listening to the Graphic Audio dramatized adaptations of this series as a whole.

Plot wise nothing much happened but I hope the last book in this series will have all the revelations. I've become a fan of Michael J Sullivan's writing style especially the way he has written the interactions between Royce and Hadrian is just perfect in my opinion.
