The first half of this book was listened to as an audio book in German, my initial thoughts were, it’s too complicated for me to understand in German and it sounds like I would love it in English. Also Darragh was mispronounced and it was getting on my nerves. After 4hours of running errands I stopped listening and never picked it up as an audiobook again.
Later I came across it as free book on the bookshelf and my thoughts went from, this is a tough reading experience, to I miss Ireland and I love this book. It really is a much better experience as a physical book in English.

オーディオブックで聴いた。ストーリーに特に大きな出来事がある訳ではないのに、登場人物の何気ない会話が興味深くて、ずっと聴いていたいと思った。話が終わらないでずっと続いて欲しいという感じ。登場人物では特にFelixの性格や発言に一番共感が持てた。本人は面白い発言をしているつもりはないのに、なぜか笑えるというか。Simonがキリスト教信者だとAliceから聞いた後のコメントや、一緒にローマに行った時に、Aliceにタクシーの中で、「何か薬でもやったの？」みたいな発言が面白くて笑ってしまった。またじっくり読みか返したい1冊。

idk this book was lowkey a bust for me. I really wanted to like it but it seems like (and this is the second book I’ve read by rooney) they tend to create female characters that fall in love with men who treat them like shit. It was really hard to finish and the ending was meh
