No Pucking Way is the first book in the Rich Demons of Hockey duet. This does end on a cliffhanger.

I really wanted to LOVE LOVE LOVE this story because I'm a sucker for hockey romance and I loved the Rich Demons series...but this was not a homerun for me.
Our FMC Kennedy has amnesia after an accident 5 years ago. She is struggling to remember anything about herself. Her only point of reference is a feeling she gets at the hockey arena. Her men are 3 super hot hockey players and one extremely bad boy. I disliked how naive Kennedy came across because of her amnesia and I hated that as the reader we never really learned anything more than Kennedy did about her past. I struggled with that. I will say the spice and banter between her men is top notch. I loved how crazy they all are. And crazy about her. I definitely will be reading book 2 to see how this story unfolds and hopefully find out all the answers to Kennedy's past.
I think the story concept is great but just wasn't executed the best. It's still a good read and has good spice. Nothing that kept me from reading and enjoying! Definitely will be looking out for the next book because I need to know what's coming next!

** spoiler alert ** I'm supposed to believe that Kennedy, who has no idea who she is and no last name, was able to (1) get a drivers license, (2) rent an apartment, and (3) get a job all without any identification? Sure, lets overlook that. BUT I'm also supposed to believe that these three professional hockey players (who are also former mafia enforcers) have the capabilities and resources to completely erase all digital aspects of someone's identity to the point where no one comes looking for her except for the head of the mafia, who happens to be their ex-best friend and one of Kennedy's boyfriends? Um okay. What I can't get over is Kennedy's incompetence. The men, especially Grayson, consistently tell her that they're possessive, protective, and unhinged and yet she's *surprised* every time they do something crazy... like burn down her apartment to get her to move in with them or kidnap her by bribing her with a trip to London.
Have I died and gone to heaven? This book is what (my) dreams are made of… I had no idea I needed to read a story about a girl with amnesia, who has the attention of not 1, but 3 pro hockey players PLUS a badass morally grey gangster’s undivided attention as well. Now that I have read this kind of story, I am hooked and need MORE.
“What I felt for her went beyond love. It was obsession. Need. I didn’t have a soul. I’d only ever have Kennedy.”
The spice in this book was divine. All 4 men get their own moment with the FMC Kennedy and I loved that there were shared moments as well!

This story is crazy in the best possible way. Kennedy wakes up from a coma with no idea who she is or what happened. She has an amazing nurse in the hospital who becomes her best friend and helps Kennedy rebuild her life, but Carrie is the only person she knows in the world. She wanders the city, hoping that something will jog her memories and give her clues to her life before, but nothing happens. She does feel a pull to the local ice arena and gets a job at the bar there. Kennedy quickly learns she loves to skate and enjoys hockey, but she’s distracted by the three superstar hockey players who seem so familiar. They pretend not to know her yet they’re always watching her and they can’t stay away from each other.
She feels safe with Jack, Carter and Sebastian but also suspects they’re keeping secrets, so she can’t fully trust them even as she grows closer to all three. She also meets Grayson, a gorgeous stranger about her own age and is immediately taken with the mysterious mafia king. He’s smitten with Kennedy and isn’t shy about it, but she’s conflicted about him. Her attraction to him is fire but he comes on too strong.
Her hockey players immediately make it clear that Grayson is no good and she needs to stay away from him but Kennedy isn’t sure who to believe. She realizes they were probably right when Grayson kidnaps her, but despite the way he insists on controlling her, she still wants him. There’s certainly more to the story of the five of them so she starts demanding answers, although she’s not prepared for the things they reluctantly admit.
This book is hot, like ghost pepper levels and it’s very dark, mostly where Grayson is concerned, although the other guys aren’t exactly saints. I loved Kennedy from the first page because her story is heartbreaking and she’s so determined. They’re all fantastic characters and I loved Carter, Jack and Sebastian as well although I’m kind of on the fence about Grayson for now.
It's clear that Kennedy is in danger and they’re all protecting her in their own way, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions and all that. Somehow I missed that this was to be continued and was blindsided by the brutal cliffhanger ending, which is all the more painful since the next book isn’t releasing until late March. I can’t wait for more from this crazy world so the next book can’t come soon enough.
