I could not put this book down, I had to read it in one day otherwise I was going to go insane. And then to have the giant cliff hanger when my kindle said I still had 13% left!!!! I almost screamed loved the little callback to CR Jane other book universe, makes me smile whenever I catch that little Easter egg!

There was too much going on in this story and none of it was working for me. 300 pages of miscommunication, I DNF'ed at 85%. Couldn't even bring myself to finish the last few pages.

One thing is for sure, and that is that if C.R. and May write a book together, I am 100% guaranteed to love it.
This book was such an interesting concept. I have said before, that I am a sucker for the amnesia trope, assuming it's done right, and they definitely did it right. The way the authors tied the amnesia into the mystery of the plot kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire book. I could not wait to find out what happened back then, and what the history was with the men.
Going in, I for some reason, thought this book was a standalone, so imagine my surprise when I reach the end and find out just how wrong I was.
Not only did I fall in love with the characters, but I adored the references to past C.R. Jane characters that I already knew and loved.
This book is a must read for anyone who vibes with why choose and hockey romance, with the perfect mafia twist.

This book was honestly hard to get through. I really didn't like many of the characters. I was there for the plot.
