Vibes were off checked other reviews to see if I was right. Sister makes a choice to be a petty bitch despite Scarlett dropping everything to come care for their father. Scarlett and Tucker don't really seem to have chemistry to me.

Already Gone is a collaboration between Kristen Proby and K. L. Grayson. Scarlett Kincaid is one of country music’s biggest stars who finds herself called back to her hometown of New Hope, South Carolina. Upon arrival she finds herself in a situation with her childhood best friend, Tucker Andrews. Wow, Tucker can sure fill at a uniform now! Tucker is handsome, sweet, heart of gold, and a local cop with a 11 yr old daughter, Chloe. Chloe is the sweetest girl who completely loves her father even though at times they do have their struggles. Tucker has been raising Chloe alone from the moment she was born, doing a very fine job at fatherhood too! I found that I totally fell for all the characters in this small town. This is a sweet, lovable, second chance romance. Of course Scarlett finds herself facing some old demons and rises to the challenge to set things right. Already Gone is a quick, easy, and fun weekend escape. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey to New Hope, South Carolina. I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review, 4 stars****

Going back home can change your life! Scarlett is a country music star who goes back home to her small town when her dad suffers a stroke. Her sister resents Scarlett, and lets her know as much as possible.

Next door is her childhood best friend who she left behind for stardom. Now he's a single father to eleven year old Chloe, and a police officer. He doesn't know the woman she is now, but misses the girl he used to know.

I loved the interactions between Chloe and Scarlett, especially since her mom isn't in the picture, those precious moments were tender to witness. I'm not gonna lie, I still want to smack her sister a little bit, but it was worth it for the HEA.

When her father has a stroke, Scarlett must put her country star status on hold and go back home to New Hope, SC to help her father recover. Besides an ornery younger sister who has a chip on her shoulder, Scarlett is also reunited with Tucker, the friend she grew up with but shunned at school. Now as a cop and a single father Tucker still has feelings for Scarlett. But will he risk his heart to her again? Or will the fans and the limelight call her back to Nashville and away fromthe family she could call home? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that had me locked in from the opening pages this was an awesome read. This was a great collaboration between two authors I have extremely enjoyed and is a book I highly recommend.

I loved Already Gone by Kristen Proby and K.L. Grayson. Mega country music star Scarlett returns home after her father has a major health scare. After returning back home to New Hope after twelve years of being away, she doesn't know what to expect.

Except Officer Tucker has another idea of what her welcome should be and lets her know exactly. I mean, who does she think she is after 12 years.

Friends to lovers is probably one of my favorite tropes and this one has a boat load of baggage and resentment.

I highly recommend this story. It ended beautifully (I might have shed a tear or two) and will definitely be enjoyed by those who enjoy small town novels.

Enjoy

I have always been a fan of Kristen Proby. And KL Grayson has been a more recent discovery, but I have really enjoyed everything I've read from her. So when I heard that these two authors were going to do a co-write? Sign me up! Already Gone is a whole new set of characters and setting, and I couldn't love this more!

Scarlett left New Hope, SC as soon as she could. She left behind her father, sister, and her best friend, and didn't think twice about it. But she is brought home when her father becomes sick. There, she has a lot to tackle, including a resentful sister, a niece and nephew that she doesn't know, and a best friend who has some pent up anger as well. Tucker has been on his own as a single father to Chloe for the last eleven years. When Scarlett comes back to town, things only become more complicated with feelings that are finally faced.

I loved the characters in Already Gone. I loved the depth that they all had, and because of that, they all felt so real to me. I particularly loved the complex relationships that Scarlett had with her sister and Tucker, and the growth that she made throughout the story. Tucker was such a wonderful father, and the situations that he had to deal with with Chloe were real-life. And he cared so so much for her. The bond that Scarlett and Chloe formed was just incredibly touching.

Kristen Proby and KL Grayson have written such a wonderful and touching story! Their styles of writing came together so seamlessly that I couldn't figure out who wrote what. I hope that this is not their only foray into writing collaboratively! I so look forward to more!
**Update** I have since listened to the audio of Already Gone, as well, and Lee Samuels and Kiresten Leigh did a great job of bringing Tucker and Scarlett to life!

Sweet second chance❤️

I’m finally tackling my TBR and am loving all of these older books especially if they are whispersync like Already Gone.

I absolutely loved this sweet second chance story. Tucker is the quintessential all around small town good guy (seriously single dad by choice
