I was curious to know what all the hype was about this book, so I decided to give it a read; it really does live up to the praise it gets. It was a page turner from start to finish.

Ending was action-packed and left me intrigued enough that I might eventually read the next book, but it took me over half the book to really get into it.  Some parts were pretty dark too (content warnings are the most I can do without completely spoiling it --- it was just overall a very tense and very sad read at times).  Plot twists surrounding the investigation were fun, though.
