What a fantastically brilliant intense heart wrenching ride of a book, with a dash of dark and BDSM undertones, cartel, mafia, violence blood shed mystery and love this book has all the ingredients to make a wonderful read. Although slow to start once the story truly kicks off it barely stops for breath and leaves you reeling and heart broken and at the edge of you seat tense, giving moments of joy and relief before throwing you back down into despair and I loved it. The characters felt real and human and 3 dimensional, the connections felt authentic. My only wish was there was more of it and I will be eagerly awaiting any more releases from this author in the same vain as this one.
A truly wonderful read

Good read.

Liam and Eden have a very interesting story. It’s a story about doing what you have to in order to protect those you love.
This story covers a lot of content. But if you stick t you it’s worth it.

description~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
So holy sh!tballs was this book FAN-F-CKING-TASTIC. How on earth have I not read anything by this author before??!! I am seriously speechless right now. This is probably one of THE best books I have read in a long time. I frigging LOVED it <--- obviously (lol). It was fantastically well written. It is a fairly long book, but the pace was perfect. The plot was super engaging and kept me turning the pages. In fact, I read this one cover to cover in one go. The timeline bounces back and forth from past to present. Which you know if you follow my reviews I usually HATE. That said, in this instance, it was seamlessly done and the "Present" chapters added a lot of mystery and drama. There were also twists and turns galore. Violence. Secrets. Lies. Murder. Torture. BDSM. Mafia. Heartbreak. Redemption, and so much more. And the ending, well that was pretty much the perfect cherry on top of an amazing book.

~HERO~
LIAM...good lord I don't even know where to begin with this guy. He was a complex character that is for sure. The author does a good job of keeping you guessing as to his motives. The secrets he is keeping. The lies. Is he to be trusted? Is he not? On top of all that he was sexy as f-ck. A smokin hot alpha Dom. I loved him. I hated him. I loved him again. He was an amazingly well developed anti-hero.

~HEROINE~
EDEN...Just as well written. Just as complex. Just an intriguing as her male counterpart. I loved Eden as well. This poor girls heart and life get ripped to shreds. I wanted to hug her. I wanted to tell her to wake the f-ck up. So many times during this book I didn't know which direction the author was going in regard to Eden's character. My fingernails are no more. But she pulled it off because I couldn't think of a more fitting ending for Eden. She was a fighter for sure.

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
There was a really good array of secondary characters in this one. Some play larger roles than others. A lot of them intrigued me enough that I would love to read more about them. London and Dominic for example. I also loved Raul and Karina. Each one of them no matter how small or large a part they played added fantastic layers to the plot and keep the story moving.

~HEAT LEVEL~
Medium. The sex scenes were suitably spicey and moderate in frequency. Most of them are BDSM based. The author warns in her Author's Note that there is dubious consent but "I" didn't really see anything that "I" would consider DC. But that was just my interpretations.

~ANGST LEVEL~
High. This is a pretty angsty read. It's a dark book with a lot of secrets. Push and pull. Lies. Heartache. That said, the angst never came from OW or OM drama. Neither were virgins and their sexual pasts weren't really discussed. Both
Spoilerhave sex with others during the six years they are separated.

~IN THE END~
I LOVED IT. Clearly. I don't think I could possibly fangirl harder (lol). It was just a fantastic read. Amazing writing. Amazing plot. Amazing characters. Hot sex. Tons of feels. Perfect ending. Yours truly is giving this one two HUGE thumbs up. And, I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for what this author has in store for us next.description

Right, so this was sooo good. Tbh I completely missed the first 15%; the first 10 mins were a bit slow and then I just zoned out.

The story was fast paced and interesting even though the writing was just so so. I really liked the characters, the MMC was possessive and mysterious. I found him attractive bc of his personality and his actions rather than being told he had aaaabs or that he was the most gorgeous man ever (the latter happened once or twice but did not persist throughout the book). I was able to see why they liked one another, why they were attracted to one another, and yes looks played a part but what made their relationship blossom was that they fulfilled a part of one another, fulfilled each other’s needs. They complemented one another. The Irish on top was a plus
