Hopefully this isn't the end of the He-Man/Thundercats crossover. I always enjoyed this series, and it's sad to see a good one end.

What I Liked

This is just pure fanboys/ girls around the world getting a fandom pleasing servicing as 2 very similar characters in He-man and Lion-o get to team up with their similar mystical swords , similar bunch of action loving , individually talented , peace-keeper friend/ team and their own legacies .

The best part of the story however was the Mumm-Ra and Skeletor team up and it was handled pretty well and in more ways than one it stayed true to the respective villains nature .

The art was also pretty nicely done , and although He-man's facial feature could have been done better the Thundercats artwork was just superb.

The story in itself had it's fair share of jaw-dropping "GTFO-shouting" moments and all done in the most over-the-top manner possible . Basically just satisfying your inner He-man and / or Lion-o Fanboy.

What I didn't Like :

Sadly the story was told during the era of the first incarnations of the heroes , and not the latter retelling of the Cartoon network days . Don't get me wrong I did after all grew up to the old and first incarnation and loved them as a kid , but , there's simply no denying the fact that while those shows could be adorable as a kid , they don't age well for anyone who has reached puberty .

Because the old show were too cliched and monotonous , and that's what happens here . While there were a few surprising moments after the first 2 or 3 issues it all became too cliched . The story resembled something you have probably seen or read plenty of times , the secondary and side-characters became obnoxious or irrelevant and it was always He-man and Lion-o show .

But my biggest gripe was the ending . There have been quite a few anti-climatic stories in 2017 in comics I have read , but this has to take the crown for the most anti-climatic story ever . The finish was so abrupt and dissapointing that it just made me stunned . And it wasn't like the end was rushed or anything . No , they gave the story enough time to develop and they set up the finale really well but final moment was just bad .

Conclusions

This one is simply for your fandom needs , any moment that you start thinking about the story or start expecting big things from this story you get a massive let down . That said as a boy who grew to these testosterone-heavy heroes in the past I did have a lot of fun
