Some very thought-provoking ideas about encouraging more effective approaches to teaching and learning, especially when it comes to creativity. I will certainly use some of his recommendations in my classes. Sometimes, examples provided are very Scratch-centric, and there is an element of repetition to his points, but on the whole I found this enlightening and applicable.

I loved everything about this book. Mitch Resnick has really influenced my work and the way I see the world.
This totally reaffirmed me.
Definitely a little computer science slant (because Scratch is his background), the overall premise of this book spoke (much more eloquently than I could) of my philosophy of teaching STEM to all.
I also felt like he articulated my opinion of technology for kids. (must be a balance).

Most of the book is a Scratch advertisement. Some really good principles buried in it though, especially up front and at the end.
While I wish the book was not specifically about Scratch (online learning community and programming language) https://scratch.mit.edu/, I LOVE so many ideas and points brought up through each chapter. I kept thinking, Yes! Yes! Yes!, to myself as I was reading.
I am intrigued to look more into Scratch and try it out for myself… but I would have liked the cover and book’s summary to have made this major focus of the book more apparent.
[Note to self – the first and last chapters are my FAVS.]

Reading a book for uni still counts as ready right?!
