An enjoyable, self-contained read - easy to pick up as long as you have the vague idea of who Spider-Man is and don't want to stress about where to start with thousands of issues of comics. Peter is dragged into a whirlwind spy drama by a woman claiming to be his sister and has to unpack a lot of buried feelings while confronting things about his dead parents' past. Swift pacing, really nice art, some very funny lines from Peter, and a convincing emotional throughline.

Fun one-shot Spider-man tale. I've always liked Mark Waid so it's not a surprise that I enjoyed the story. I did not think the painted illustration by Gabriele Dell'Otto was going to work, but it does! Gabrielle's Spider-man feels dynamic, and the action scenes feel bombastic. Best MARVEL NOW OGN yet!

Mediocre story (and giving away the identity of the villain on the cover and first two pages makes the “surprise” reveal an anticlimax) but the art is gorgeous.

A nice shorter story with some incredible art by Gabrille Dell'Otto. The core concept is very interesting but I wish the ending took more risks. Instead it just a short pleasant read rather than anything really major for spidey.

What a fun little book.
More comics like this - drop in, tell a story and move on. Ongoings are fun but. Well, see my One More Day review for more of my thoughts on that matter.

Regareing this book: Fantastic art - Alex Rossesque paintings and a great story with a fun opening. Spidey tries to stop a stolen shipment of detergent. Soapy action ensues.
