An unforgettably beautiful series. There are no books quite like these for me, where the language and prose brings such powerful images into my head. It's huge-scale sci-fi but with strong characters at the heart of everything.

I enjoy the characters and worldbuilding (the smaller-scale elements) of this and like. the quieter character interactions and exploration stuff. but so much of this was the big universe ending complicated stuff that I found hard to grasp or care about hahahha. also it is so big and slow. I enjoyed the trilogy overall?

Final book of the Graven - a genre-breaking debut space opera trilogy that is simply marvelous. Full of big ethical questions, hard decisions, an expanding empire, good intentions with seriously gnarly consequences, and found family, this series published by Orbit deserves a LOT more attention from the SFF crowd more largely.

I was given a free ARC by the publisher in exchange for my fair and honest review.
