I think I'm done with the series. This would have been a DNF if not for that fact I was listening to it as an audiobook. I am just done with Vhalla. None of the charcters have stuck with me. I feel like the narrative is done well at times and makes the story seem much more intense than it is, and then the characters and their actions don't match up. Aldrik and Vhalla had me so mad in the last couple chapters. It was just so insufferable.

Honestly I don't really know why I keep reading these books because Vhalla is the most annoying character that there ever was. She cannot make her mind up about anything and literally will state one thing and then do the opposite. I know there are wishy washy heroines out there based off of wishy washy people, but still. This is excessive.

Beyond the incredible pain that is Vhalla, Kova really rushed the ending of this book and we don't actually know anything that happens - what I mean to say is that I know that stuff happens in the book but I could not tell you what. There is a big fight (because all of the books end that way) but beyond that.. nothing has been learned. I will continue to read because why not, but I'm not entirely enjoying the way the story is progressing.
