Honestly I don't really know why I keep reading these books because Vhalla is the most annoying character that there ever was. She cannot make her mind up about anything and literally will state one thing and then do the opposite. I know there are wishy washy heroines out there based off of wishy washy people, but still. This is excessive.

Beyond the incredible pain that is Vhalla, Kova really rushed the ending of this book and we don't actually know anything that happens - what I mean to say is that I know that stuff happens in the book but I could not tell you what. There is a big fight (because all of the books end that way) but beyond that.. nothing has been learned. I will continue to read because why not, but I'm not entirely enjoying the way the story is progressing.

I just can't stop reading this series! The third installment was action packed and just when I thought I couldn't possibly hate the emperor anymore ughhhh that man is pure evil! The ending was once again gut-wrenching and you will immediately need to pick up the fourth.

Oh God– ALL THE FEELS!!! Unquestionably my favourite book in the series so far. The character development was incredible, the action intense, the magic amazing, and the romance heartbreakingly sweet. Watching these characters grow on such a deep level is unreal, and while there are a few questions that remain unanswered (*looks at one particular dark prince*), I definitely felt fulfilled. And now I have literally no clue where the story is going to end. That ending was merciless. I thought the end of the second book was going to hurt me, but this was the one that ripped it out, set it on fire, and stomped on the ashes. Seriously, I don't know how things will get fixed, only that they better. April 26 can't come soon enough!!!
