I learned there was cancer in the story and I think it’ll be a bit triggering
this book is really well written but it’s also profoundly sad. maybe I was supposed to feel more hopeful than the overwhelming despair i did feel. 3.5
Phew! This one hit a little too close to home. Heartbroken almost from the start. I wanted to cry every second, even though I couldn't pull myself away from this little world & these characters.

this accomplished what normal people wished it had, with a slower burn, a beautiful conversation about identity & a more comprehensive exploration of grief
Let me start by saying that this book will not be for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. It’s my kind of book-quiet, slow paced, emotional. It’s a love story, but so much more. Bad boy Will meets good girl Rosie and they’re immediately drawn to each other. Circumstances push them apart, but the pull towards each other is always there. Each trying to figure out what they want for their lives. I loved the writing and highlighted so much. It’s the perfect book to curl up with this fall under a cozy blanket.

I debated about this book between a 4.75 and a 5 star mostly because of the way I am used to reading with quotations. I finally settled on the 5 because of how well the characters were written. I think Will put much more into the relationship than Rosie however, it was not intentionally just the way she was wired. I typically hate characters like hers with a constant back and forth but her thoughts and her ability to take ownership for her behavior was what kept me engaged and in love with both of them. I was also afraid with the various issues both had, the book would make it like their love would solve it all however, it did not. I love how the book highlights it was a constant battle for both and the constant forgiving and tough love taken and given from both characters. I am in love with this book and I am emotional just thinking about it.

This book absolutely scratched the Normal People itch. So good but oh so bloody real and sad.
