Beautiful illustrations, and I think this book can be a good introduction to Beowulf. However, I believe that the story cannot be appreciated as much without having the context of the original tale beforehand. Maybe adults reading this story to their child would enjoy it more.

Well that was freakin’ adorable. And surprisingly faithful to the original. Except with kids and candy.
