This one was a tough read, especially with the focus on Sara’s past from 15 years ago. The ending was truly shocking—it's hard to believe how cruel people can be. Like her other books, it’s dark, graphic, and deeply unsettling

I love Sara and Will together.  I was worried about this, revisiting Sara's trauma, but it was damn good.  I didn't really see how it all connected to Sara until it did because I was so distracted by everything else coming at me.  I'm a bit worried now though because what else can Slaughter do to Sara??

The plot twist at the end was solid, but the journey there was rough. The chapters were long, and there was way too much filler-it made it hard to stay focused or really enjoy the mystery.
