The twists. The turns. Classic Karin writing that brings you into the story and makes you feel it and live it. As always, the book was phenomenal and totally unexpected.

Karin Slaughter never misses, and After That Night is no exception.

While in medical school, Sara’s life was changed forever by a brutal assault. Years later, she’s picked up the pieces, becoming a successful doctor and engaged to the man of her dreams. She believes she’s finally put the past behind her. However, when a car crash brings in a young victim who had been assaulted before the crash, it becomes clear that, against all odds, Sara’s assault and this new one are connected. Perhaps it’s time for Sara to learn the truth about what happened after that night.

It’s a gripping read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The premise of the book was interesting and I liked the overall gist of it, but it asd far too long and repetitive to create any real tension or suspense and by the end I was no longer interested in who it was.

Fast read. Very focused on Sara Linton. A nice change of pace from the last 3 books or so

Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the early access to this highly anticipated latest instalment of Will Trent series, "After That Night." This, just like the last books in the series I read, this one was epic.
It is best to read Grant County series, before diving into Will Trent series, because this will spoil some of the major plot lines; however it is not necessary to read them, in order to follow the plot here.

A horrific event that happened to Sara 15 years ago, is brought back to the front, because of new crimes that GBI is investigating. After a young woman dies from horrific injuries sustained after a vicious sexual assault, Sara promises to find justice for her. This is a riveting story, with dark themes throughout, therefore, please be aware of any possible triggers.

I cannot wait for the next instalment.
