This is gritty. Brace yourself before you tackle it.
Great story, timely content on women's issues.
Think it's far-fetched? Look up a Canadian criminal case from a few years back - Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka. Can't say more without spoilers, but this book brought back memories of following it in the news. (Shudder.)

After That Night offers an intriguing premise with a hospital setting that I found particularly engaging. The story certainly has its twists and turns, keeping me hooked at times.
However, I felt the pacing was a bit slow. The chapters seemed a bit lengthy, and I found myself struggling to maintain momentum at certain points. I believe the narrative could have benefited from a slightly quicker pace or shorter chapters to keep the reader more engaged.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I did enjoy the book overall. The hospital setting provided a unique backdrop, and the unexpected plot twists were a definite highlight. I would recommend this book to friends who also enjoy stories set in hospitals.
Overall: A decent read with an interesting premise, but the pacing could be improved.
