I enjoyed this book more than the previous one in the series. There seemed to be more depth to the character arcs than just the lustful scenes from Iron Flame. I was more invested in character relationships and always enjoy the dragon sections.

Look, I know we are reading romantasy here and it's kind of expected, but the sex is getting so annoying. How many lightning-striking orgasms can you have, Jesus Christ. Especially when you're not even supposed to fuck. But I digress. 
The world is still fun, but these books are too long, there is too much little stuff crammed into them, everything is happening too fast and not fast enough at the same time ... I don't know. I will read the rest of the series for sure because even though I roll my eyes a lot, it still has me wanting to know how it ends, but this should have never been a five-book series. Put it in three books. There is too much filler-episode stuff going on and I am not here for it.
