Well, this book has a confusing main character. Aimee as the main character couldn't be sure with her life after her fiancè passed away. She lost her way and confusing. The other characters are cool. They have good or even better personalies than Aimee's. The plot is complicated but has a good problem solving. The ending is good but a little bit made me upset.
Graphic: Rape, Death, Sexual assault, and Mental illness
Moderate: Abandonment
Minor: Abandonment, Murder, and Rape

Wow the ending just makes you want to dive right into the second book.
This was a really interesting premise for the book. I really enjoyed reading it and seeing where the author was going to go with the story. Without going into too many details I was impressed by the plot development. There is some mystical realism here, so be prepared. It was a good page turner and overall an engaging book, but it wasn't great (hence the 3.5).
I am excited to continue reading the next book in the series.
