I love Olivia Dade and her characters! I feel seen in her writing and that these are people I would know in real life. Realistic people facing real issues. Still, the love Dade puts into her story and the love her characters find melts my heart.

This was cute and had surprisingly more emotional depth than I expected. It does read like a fanfic at times (lots of tell and not showing) but !!! I had a good time. I'll probably listen to the audiobook of the sibling book at some point.

This one was really fun but I could have used more! Obviously brevity is typically for the better but I felt like this could have been a good hundred pages longer. I wanted to see more of the time April and Marcus spent together instead of being told how many months went by and suddenly they were in love. For instance, the little 2-3 page insights into scripts and fanfics was cute but I think the page numbers could have been better utilized just by giving us more of April and Marcus. Their relationship never felt fully earned for me. I also could have done without the little red riding hood role-play at the end but that's just me. Otherwise I really enjoyed this and as a big girl myself, it was very nice seeing April get the hot guy.
