This was so cute! I loved the nerdy aspects of it (Fanfic awesomeness!!). The way the FMC worked to advocate for herself and her body and her right to exist and be loved as she is was great.

My sister (and fellow fandom participant) recommended this book and it did not disappoint! As an avid fanfiction reader of over 20 years, I can say that Dade was speaking to my nerdy heart. I laughed a lot with this book and while there was some repetition and areas that felt dragged out, the personal aspects of this book made up for it.
Contemporary romance is not for me. I would have liked it more if it was about the actual book/tv show characters, not the people playing them/writing about them

We all carry our own traumas whether we acknowledge them or not, and it colors how we move in the world. Nice to see that very real unpacking tied to the growth and nurturing of a healthier relationship. I picked this up as part of the Book Riot 2021 Read Harder Challenge and I’m glad I did.
