DNF. Idk man, this was just not it for me. Maybe it's because the male lead was too weird of a crossover between Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Jaime Lannister that made it uncomfy, maybe it's just because the culture of fandom community just gives me the ick. (Not to say that I don't love me some fandom media and the people who like it, but it's the obsessives—like our MC here—who just...make me like stuff less, sorry, I said it.) This probably was gonna be a sweet little romance when I got into it, if I got into it, but I couldn't, it required too much suspension of disbelief and, frankly, I think I hit the nail on the head with the "ick" comment.

This book made my fangirl, cosplaying, fanfic writer heart ❤️ very happy! Love the body positivity aspect too!

I wanted to love this, but I was bored. Too saccharine. Story premise was cute, but I didn't love the writing. The groundwork for sequels looks promising.

Cute, funny, and rather steamy. The fanfic plot/parts were boring and annoying, though.

Actually 1 1/2

Yay for plus size representation but ugh this book was bad.

An essential read for the fangirls who read fanfiction. Basically a lingform fanfiction itself. One thing that this book really drives home for me is the personal acceptance of your body. The main character had body confidence, and I aspire to be more like that.
