This book is about every philosophy in the world, but it is not a novel.

One of my favorites of all time. The society in this book is one where I wish we all could live in.

I couldn't finish. The first few chapters were inspiringly beautiful (even helped me get out of a depressive episode) but it suddenly got bogged down with too many characters and long incomprehensible conversations. Probably it's not a good idea to read critical reviews of a book before going in yourself - one called this an "esthetic failure". It is not a story book but a philosophy one wrapped in characters and place. I think I'm just too young in a literary/ philosophy experience; maybe I'll try again in a decade.
