Although this book is very well written and the story is told very well, I did not enjoy it all that much.

i loved the beginning- when he was a child. and the last two pages were really sweet and a full-circle moment. but i didn’t really enjoy the middle. it’s probably an amazing book, i just didn’t really enjoy it.

I read this book when I was 15 and it was the first book that I ever finished, I found most books bored me and couldn’t keep my attention. But this book… it was a page turner. It honestly left me feeling empty, and I still think about it all the time.
It’s one of those books where a persons life changes in a mere second, but could have been prevented. There’s a quote that still haunts me to this day:
“I opened my mouth, almost said something. Almost. The rest of my life might have turned out differently if I had. But I didn’t. I just watched. Paralyzed.”
The Kite Runner is my Roman Empire.
This book should be one of the books every person should read at least once in their lives.
