I LOVE CHASE AND WEST

Absolutely my favorite from this series. I already knew Chase's identity before reading, and was binge-reading Sarah MacLean's books so that I could get to this one because I needed to know more about her story. It was SO fun seeing my girl being the badass that she deserved to become after everything she went through in the first series. Also, I spent the whole series hoping that West would get a romance, and the back and forth between these two for this one was so good.

(Though I was kind of losing my mind at West
refusing to accept the hints that Georgiana dropped that she's Chase
, but I guess that goes along with the theme of "people see what they want to see" that comes up in the book multiple times.)

This book was such an epic conclusion to both the Love by Numbers and Rules of Scoundrels series — and I LOVED IT. Georgiana felt like a combination of Khaleesi/Danaeryus Targaryen from Game of Thrones and Lady Whistledown, and Duncan West was the perfect man to match her. Such incredible chemistry and what a boss babe.

I definitely think you need to have *at least* read the Scoundrels series to appreciate this book in fullness.

Side note: I'm not sure why I've been reading really slowly, but I have been. I think it has to do with my husband working from home all the time.

I enjoyed this one regardless of the amount of time I spent reading it. The pacing did seem a bit slow and really picked up towards the end. I was very interested in Chase by the time I got to this one. I had an idea about Chase and I'm glad I was right. There was a lot of secret-keeping in this one and I'm not sure how I feel about it. The secrets caused all the tension and misunderstandings. I found Duncan and Georgiana worked well together. Their chemistry was great. They just seemed to understand each other.
