Reading this book felt like reading people chronically on twitter interacting in real life.
The conversations seemed too unrealistic between the couple, especially during "deep", "emotional" or "romantic" moments. I wish Honey Acres as a setting was explored more alongside the whole camp atmosphere.
The side characters also deserved more moments to shine, as I really loved Xanders banter with the other characters.
Some moments in the book gave me whiplash just from how quickly the scenes and conversation topics were changing. Some moments and conversations also felt like they finished too abruptly before moving on.
TDLR: Great setting, funny side characters, unrealistic mmc and fmc.

Closed Door Mods: Chapter 3 (some parts), Chapter 5 (some parts), Chapter 21, Chapter 22 (some parts), Chapter 24 (some parts), Chapter 28 (some parts), Chapter 32 (some parts)

When I say I breezed through and devoured this book, I really mean it.

Wildfire is such a nice, easy read, and I actually like this book more than the first book in the Maple Hills series (Icebreaker).

One of the things I really like about Wildfire was how relatable the characters felt in this book. I didn’t necessarily got that vibe from them in Icebreaker, but I like how you can see more of the characters’ individual personalities (both from Maple Hills and those at Honey Acres) shine without the constant hype of having them go out to a club or party every single night.

I also thought the relationship between Russ and and Aurora was really well-developed. Both of them had their own sort of “baggage” before they met, and I felt that they both complimented each other as well as enjoying seeing how they can heal and move forward because of their relationship.

Though I felt there were some tiny tweaks needed for the development of some of the side plots, I had no complaints with this book.

This book was fun and cute. The more serious topics/traumas were similar between the MFC and MMC. This at times was great to show how people with similar issues/trauma can support each other. This did also cause some lulls in the story because there wasn't a lot of diversity with their issues. If you're looking for an easy summer story with occasional drama then this would most likely be a book for you.

The way the toxic parents were handled did seem realistic and how the characters moved through the issues/progressed were stressful at times, If you've experienced these similar issues, but also relieving around any resolutions.

Happy to see the continuation of the characters from Icebreaker also making appearances.
