This book is so beautifully illustrated oh my goodness. I love the way the storytelling is done through song and dialogue. Combined with the color choices, there is emphasis in every picture for a greater emotional impact. I really liked learning about folklore through this story too.
4/5 for beautiful art, storytelling, and theme. I really like this book.

ok edit after playing a game of tft

some things were a bit nonsensical but i suspended my disbelief to be able to enjoy the art and let the story progress

if that isn't something you can do then maybe don't pick this up

I thought I knew where the story was going, but I was definitely proven wrong. The story holds a lot of sadness and pain. It was a hard read. But I enjoyed the world that it has built. Gave me “Little Nightmares vibes”
