* 4.5 * Sloan and Declan’s story was my favorite so far!! There’s witty banter, dry humor and delicious spice… Declan kept surprising me from the way he cared for Sloan to his many secrets. I loved seeing Sloan open up and let herself be vulnerable with Declan. I think we all need someone as fiercely loyal as Sloan is in our lives.

Rating for the vibes only. Frankly Sloane absolutely carried this book. She is a ton of fun, which we already knew from Ruthless Creatures. But she also has so much fire, which was fun to see her unleash on Declan and crew. Not sure where the over-arching storyline is headed but I’ll continue with the series. Would recommend listening to these over reading. They are well narrated and make the story more enjoyable than reading.

DNF. I hate dnf-ing books and I tried to continue this so many times but the writing style is just terrible and this book has the most annoying FMC I've ever read because a) she spends half the time complimenting herself and b) she so easily fell in love with the below average alpha-hole MMC ?? no backbone at all.
