Sloane was really funny and the banter between her and Declan was really well done! It also had really good pacing.

My head is still spinning and blowing so hard!
If I thought Ruthless Creature was intense, Carnal Urges was even worse than Ruthless Creature in terms of intensity. Wow. Just wow.
Sloane was really badass. I wish I could grow up to be like her. I hundred percent understand why Declan obsessed with her because me too.
Even though I liked Kage more than Declan, but Declan was perfect for Sloane so he passed the test. Only man like Declan could "tame" her. They were perfect for each other.
I loved how there were many Declan's POV in this book, not like Ruthless Creature where Kage only had a handful of POV.
For me, another reason why this book is slightly better than the first book is because there were interactions between Sloane and other Irish Mob members. Not like Nat who had zero interaction with Russians Mob members.
Again, the ending left no choice but to read the third book.

I’ve been lowkey obsessed with Sloane since 𝑹𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔, so I was hyped to dive into 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑼𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒔. And let me tell you, Sloane’s story delivers. She gets kidnapped by Declan, this Irish Mafia powerhouse. But instead of spiraling, she fights back with humor, sarcasm, and fearless defiance. I love heroines who refuse to crumble, and Sloane thrives under pressure. Her wit had me cracking up at the most chaotic moments.

Declan’s a whole other story. Cold, calculating, but you sense early on there’s more beneath the surface. He didn’t expect Sloane to challenge him, to get under his skin. But she does. Watching him fall, it’s slow, intense, and so satisfying. And when he realizes he’s already too far gone, chef’s kiss.

Enemies-to-lovers fans will eat this up. And yes, it’s got that “touch her and die” energy that makes you grin. The spice? Yep, it’s here and it’s good. There’s action, tension, snarky banter, and emotional depth that sneaks up on you. I do wish Declan’s motivations had been clearer a bit sooner. It might have made some of his choices hit harder. But still, I couldn’t stop turning the pages. And I love that I got the paperback. Such a pretty addition to my romance shelf. Perfect for readers who want: Dark romance, mafia intrigue, a heroine with bite, spice you didn’t know you needed, and a hero who falls first and falls hard.

Badass fmc, the plot thickens multiples times, very very very funny dialogue.
Fmc befriends all of her kidnappers, this was adorable.
It got a little boring closer to the end, and then ended very abruptly.
