This was such a fun dark mafia romance. Which seems like such an odd statement but the banter in this one was so good. I laughed on several occasions. Sloane is who I wish I could be. She is a take no prisoners sort of FMC. And Declan is the touch her and die sort of MMC so that’s perfect.

3.5 stars! I listened to the audiobook and the Irish actor who played the hero...swoon!! He was fantastic!! Declan is second in command of the Irish Mafia. On orders from his boss, he kidnaps the best friend of the head of the Russian Mob's fiance as payback for the killing of some Irish mobsters. What Declan doesn't know is Sloan is unlike any woman he has ever met. Sloan is definitely much different than any other heroines I've read in any Mafia romances. She is completely unafraid and ballsy. I honestly found her personality a bit annoying, but I can appreciate that this book did something different. I also didn't really understand the main hero's motives through most of the book and didn't think his actions reflected how much of a scary killer he was supposed to be. I did enjoy the spice in this book and there are a lot and definitely some kinky scenes. And again, the audiobook actor is amazing so if you want a spicy Mafia romance, I would definitely recommend this one.
Follow up to the first Mafia romance of the series. Fun and smutty. And too much spanking for my taste
