⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ `· . 𐙚 I always wanted to read this book but i wasn't sure if I would like it but I did like it kinda the thing is the book had alot of things to improve first is the fmc she felt too naive and too trusting at times and I also wanted to see more of jacks he felt more like the side character I was really debating if I should just dnf this book because In the middle when she had kissed the prince it becomes a bit boring but I am glad I didn't because it became interesting after the prince dies🤷🏻♀️ idk maybe he was the problem but yeahh also I wish the fmc had a bit more of a personality then just being obsessed with first love ( I was going to break my phone if she mentioned first love once again) none the less it became interesting through the end also the only character i LOVED was lala maybe I would have loved Jack but for him being the mmc he didn't have much scenes.

This story follows Evangeline Fox, who’s desperate to stop the boy she loves from marrying her stepsister. In a moment of heartbreak, she makes a deal with the Prince of Hearts, even though everyone knows you should never bargain with a Fate. All he asks for in return is three kisses of his choosing but of course, nothing goes to plan, and Evangeline ends up caught in a much bigger adventure than she expected.
I really enjoyed this book and totally see why it’s all over BookTok. The world was magical and full of whimsy, and I loved the concept of the Fates - mysterious, dangerous, and so much fun to read about. The plot kept me on my toes, and I flew through it in just a couple of sittings. The ending was pretty abrupt, but it left me immediately wanting to grab the next book to see what happens next.

I absolutely loved this book. The story kept me interested throughout the whole book. I would definitely recommend this book!
Ah, this book was magical, everything about the way this was written screamed to my fairytale-loving heart.
The magic, the beauty, the glamor of the North, the deception, the love, and honestly the pure joy.
I went into this book hesitant since I'd tried and dnf'd the caraval series. I feared the same would happen but once I started the purely whimsical story swept me off my feet. I'm so curious to see what happens in Ballad Ever After, the cliffhanger this book ended on was absolutely disastrous.
Evangeline Fox is such a perfectly written FMC, I enjoyed her wit, her heart for truly believing in love, and her insistent curiosity.
It was an absolute joy to read this book and I was reminded that sometimes a good fairytale is needed.
