Loved this book. Didn’t expect too much from it, but I laughed the whole way through. I related to soo much from this book. Doesn’t matter if you have a son or a daughter, if you’re a parent you’ll likely be able to relate to at least one this in this book, if not everything in this book. Loved every minute of it.

Okay so being very moody I swapped this for my “ a book that leaves you sobbing” prompt for the readathon.
Backman has a tendency to break my heart. And then I didn’t cry. It was very touching and made me think of what I want my kids to know and learn from me and how I want to be so much better for them.
But maybe I was all cried out before I picked this one up.
This is a very touching read for parents.
I love this book! It was a quick and easy read. There were many funny moments throughout. I love the analogy's and anecdotes used, as well as the many different references made to pop culture including Harry Potter, Star Wars, and WWE wrestling.
Funny anecdotes and stories written to his son as an explanation for himself as a parent. There are some really sweet and heartfelt moments in the book but also a lot of hilarious phrases that caught me off guard, but in a good way. This is a sweet read for any parent at any stage in the game.
