She's the good girl. She's the planner. She's the perfect friend. She dresses perfectly. "Making people happy was her top priority." But underneath all this control, a wild girl is simmering ! She has decided this wedding is the perfect occasion to let off some steam and have one night of fun. She set her sights on a polite young man, but fate (in the person of Regan) has decided otherwise.
So she'll get him. He's the bad boy. He doesn't do weddings. He despises this type of celebrations. He's a hero written by Tessa Bailey, so he's a fine, sexy, irresistible dirty talker ^^
And he has the hots for her :
"Settling his hands on either side of her, he brought his body within inches of hers. "I don't do hair, pixie," he rasped against her ear. "Unless you'd like it pulled."
But they couldn't be any more different.
They have a wild night of passion together, but what happens the day after ?

Reed wants some more. Julie says she doesn't. Their banter is delightful to read.
And Reed knows the words to make her melt :
"Know what I think, baby ? You love making my cock hard. You've been living for it since that first night." He leaned forward slightly, gaze riveted on her chest. "I've been living for it, too. I've been stroking myself off to the memory of how you looked at me on that patio. Like you were a little nervous and a lot turned on. Did you go back to your seat in the fancy restaurant and cross your legs tighter than before ? Were you planning on going back to your room later that night and imagining the big bad man touching your pussy ?"
(Rethinking about this, I advise you to keep cool drinks ready when reading this book, along with a fan and, why not, keep your significant other close at hand !). You know, it's Tessa Bailey : romantic and hot.

Julie tries to avoid him and talks a lot. "I think I'd make a fine policewoman. Anyone gets unruly and I'll ust talk them to death." She even comes up with strange sayings : "As my aunt Sylvie would say, Southern boys are slicker than pig snot on a radiator." The other characters are interesting too, which makes you long to read their story.
She evolves among closely knit friend, my favorite was take-no-prisoners Regan :
"So you're not going for Logan ?" Regan asked. "Nice. Best man's back on the market." She flexed her fingers and winked. "Game on."

You might have noticed already, but I really, really, really love that author. I see a book by her ? I buy it immediately. I preorder it when I can ! Her love stories are great, her characters are stubborn, mouthy, passionate, hot ! Their banter is funny. I almost cry when I get to the end of the book because oh no, it's already over ! I want more ! All this to say : buy it, steal it, blackmail it, whatever, read it and have fun !

This novella is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. However, I think it's best that you read it all because all the series are interweaving and happening at the same time - which makes for a great original series construction.

Short, sweet hot. Ooo weeeee what a dirty talker Reed was! Just like I like'em - dirty, sexy and take no prisoners sex. Julie was rather uptight, always trying to please everyone including her mother who constantly compared Julie to her dead "perfect" sister. Reed, your typical love-em and leave-em kind of guy thinks he's just in a for a quickie during the week they and friends spend at a resort when two of their friends marry. But things don't turn out that way and boy, get your cold drink, cold shower, because Reed is loose!! My gosh, this author can smoke up a Kindle. Lovely story, tight writing, over the top sexy times (in a good way). Nice little book to bring you out of a book hangover!! Love Tessa Bailey!! Love the Entangled Brazen series!!

This is a 3 1/2 star book for me. Ms. Bailey does a fabulous nasty-sweet talking alpha male but the romance never really gelled for me.

FTC : I requested the entire series on my love of this authors work. I am so glad I did.

When I think of Tessa Bailey’s work, I think of grumpy Alpha males with filthy mouths and even filthier intentions. I expect sex, angst and grit and I was not disappointed. This was one of my favourites of the series.

Reed is the kind of hero I expect from Bailey. He is intense, sexy and totally demanding. With lots of emotional baggage, I was more invested in this guy than many of her other heroes and it made his story that little bit more engaging. Reed wants Julie from the second that he sees her, manages to get into bed rather quickly (in a very hot yet slightly odd scene) and then spends the majority of the time trying to prove that she can’t dismiss him as just a roll in the hay. That is the one thing that I loved about him; at no point did he feel the need to try to prove that he was good enough for her, he just wanted to prove that he was more to her than what she wanted to label him as. I also liked that she brought out this reaction as, for the most part, Reed really doesn’t seem to give a damn!!

Julie had her own baggage. A people pleaser by choice, Julie was the person at the wedding that made sure everyone else was OK before seeing to herself. To be honest, I think that, if Reed hadn’t have been there, she would have ran herself into the ground as her friends were doing a pretty shitty job of not stopping her. Reed noticed when she hadn’t eaten, when the smile was too forced and when she wanted to be something other than the Stepford wedding planner that she had morphed into. I fricking loved Reed. It annoyed me when she pushed at him, when she tried to cheapen their developing feelings and inadvertently belittled him; I wanted her to chill the hell out. The scenes where she didn’t annoy me? The scenes where they were alone and she was allowing herself to feel and not think. The striptease scene was both the hottest and most character developing scene in the book for me as I could see what they could be like together without all the bullsh*t.

Another thing I expect from Ms Bailey is sex. Lots and lots of hot and dirty sex. Again, I was not disappointed. This book is filled with scenes to make your skin clammy and your toes curl; I enjoyed the hell out of all of them. Word to the wise Ladies and Gents, this is not one for public consumption unless you want to be all hot and bothered in-front of strangers!

Another fabulous story by Tessa Bailey and another fabulous story in this series. A tale of what happens when undeniable sexual chemistry pulls two people together, whether they are both onboard or not!

One of the few misses I have with Tessa Bailey's books. Meh overall, I feel like Reed was an asshole one too many times for me to feel like the couple was meant to be.

Perfect girl Julie meets bad boy SWAT leader Reed at their friends’ destination wedding and love happens…

The Good
-Good price (99 cents)
-Quick read (about 127 pgs)
-Excellent chemistry between Julie and Reed
-Reed’s an excellent dirty talker and the love scenes were very hot
-Character depth: time and care was given to build up the relationship and even if the story was relatively short, I felt I got to know Reed and Julie well and I believed there concerns and personal issues with intimacy. This is my first experience with Ms. Bailey’s writing, and I enjoyed it.
-Standalone HEA: This is part of a series, set at a destination wedding with one author writing one couple’s experience. Even though it’s part of a series, you do not need to read the other books to follow the storyline. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the way it weaves into the overaching storyline as I know it, since I’ve read Kady and Colton’s story (Dare to Resist by Laura Kaye), as well as Sophie and Logan’s romance (Best Man with Benefits by Samanthe Beck.

The Meh
It wraps up rather abruptly, without a glimpse of the wedding, which was a little disappointing.

The Bottom Line
Another good entry in this series and I’m looking forward to reading the other books, as well as more from Ms. Bailey.

Dark, mysterious brooding hero with a penchant for dirty talk. A cool, seemingly uptight heroine. Opposites attract and then some. But it felt just a little bit rushed.

BUTT LOADS OF ADORABLENESS. Phantom of he Opera. TUXEDO, GO Fish! Pretty much every word off this book was amazing. It's super fudging sexy but the same time emotionally deep as hell. Both of these characters have a backstory and it's not a simple one.
Reed is perfect though he doesn't think he is. Julie is perfect though she doesn't think she is. They're perfect together and they know it but are too stubborn to not be perfect. How does that not sound like an amazing book???
